Ahimsa Service a division of VortexC LLC

Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 27, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ahimsaservice.com or ahimsapest.com websites (collectively, “the Websites”), which are operated by VortexC LLC (a Florida, USA limited liability company doing business as Ahimsa Service/Ahimsa Pest), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Websites. These Terms apply equally to users of AhimsaService.com and AhimsaPest.com, and establish a unified agreement for both domains. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically, as we may update them from time to time and your continued use of the Websites signifies acceptance of any changes.

2. About VortexC LLC and Services
The Websites are owned and operated by VortexC LLC, located in Florida, USA. VortexC LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers eco-friendly pest control, land care, mold mitigation, and emergency response services under the Ahimsa brand. Any reference to “Ahimsa Service” or “Ahimsa Pest” in these Terms refers to VortexC LLC and its service offerings. Information on the Websites about our services is for general informational purposes and does not by itself constitute a binding legal offer. Engaging our services will typically require a separate agreement or service contract. While we strive to present our services accurately, the specific terms of any service you purchase (such as scope of work, guarantees, pricing, etc.) will be provided in writing at the time of service and, if there is any conflict, those specific service agreements will take precedence over these general Terms.

3. Use of the Websites
You may use the Websites for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. By using the Websites, you represent that you are at least 18 years old (or, if you are between 13 and 18, that you are using the Websites with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian). You agree not to use the Websites in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harms us or any other user. Specifically, you agree that you will not:

  • Interfere with the Websites’ operation: You will not attempt to damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Websites (or the networks connected to the Websites). This includes not attempting to circumvent security measures, probe/vulnerability scan, introduce viruses or any other harmful code, or disrupt the normal functioning of the sites.
  • Unauthorized access: You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Websites, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Websites, through hacking, password mining, or any other means.
  • Prohibited content: When contacting us or using any interactive features (such as contact or inquiry forms), you will provide truthful information and refrain from transmitting any content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or infringes on anyone’s rights. You are solely responsible for the content of your communications through the Websites.
  • No unlawful use: You will not use the Websites to violate any applicable law or regulation. You may not use the Websites in a manner that could cause harm to the Company’s reputation or that of our customers or partners.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Websites if we believe, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms or any applicable law. Unauthorized use of the Websites may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offense.

4. Service Requests and Appointments
The Websites may allow you to request information about our services (for example, by filling out a contact form or scheduling an appointment). Such requests or inquiries are for scheduling and informational purposes onlyand do not, by themselves, create a binding contract for services. We will do our best to respond to inquiries promptly, but we do not guarantee availability for any requested appointment date or service time until confirmed. Any actual services that we agree to perform for you will be governed by a separate agreement (such as a work order, service contract, or estimate) detailing the terms and conditions of that service (including pricing, scope, guarantees, etc.).

While our company offers a “111% Money-Back Guarantee” as a gesture of customer satisfaction, the specific conditions and details of that guarantee will be provided in your service agreement or upon request. Nothing on the Websites should be construed as altering or amending the specific terms of any service guarantee or warranty explicitly provided in writing to our customers. Results of our eco-friendly pest control, land care, mold mitigation, and emergency response services may vary depending on circumstances, and except as expressly set forth in a written agreement, no outcome is guaranteed. We will, however, always endeavor to fulfill our services to the high standards described on our Websites.

5. Intellectual Property Rights
All content and materials available on the Websites – including text, images, graphics, logos, videos, design layout, software, and other material – are the property of VortexC LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes the overall “look and feel” of the Websites and all content provided under the Ahimsa brand name.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Websites and their content for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce the content of the Websites (other than incidental caching or for personal viewing) without our prior written permission. This means you should not download, print, or distribute substantial portions of our content for purposes other than personal use.
  • Modify or create derivative works based on the Websites’ content without authorization.
  • Use any trademarks, service marks, or logos appearing on the Websites (such as “Ahimsa Service,” “Ahimsa Pest,” or VortexC LLC’s logo) without our written consent. All such marks are the property of VortexC LLC or the respective owners.
  • Redistribute or exploit the content for any commercial purpose. For example, you cannot scrape data or text from our site to use on your own site or marketing materials, nor use our images in advertising, without permission.

Any unauthorized use of the Websites’ content may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, privacy and publicity laws, and/or communications regulations and statutes. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by VortexC LLC. For inquiries about obtaining permission to use any content on the Websites, please contact us at our provided contact information.

6. Third-Party Links and Tools
The Websites may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources (for example, links to informational articles, social media, Google’s reCAPTCHA service, Google Maps for directions, or a WhatsApp communication link). These links are provided for your convenience or reference only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, products, services, or information on any third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by us.

When you click a third-party link and leave our Websites, you do so at your own risk. Be aware that any third-party site you visit is governed by its own terms and policies, not ours. This includes, for example, Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service that apply to the use of Google reCAPTCHA on our contact forms. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or practices of any third-party websites.

If you choose to connect with us or communicate via a third-party platform (such as by using a “Message us on WhatsApp” link), that activity may also be subject to the terms and privacy policy of that platform. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party site or service you interact with.

7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Websites is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference, meaning that by agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an ethical manner consistent with our company’s values and applicable law. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

By using the Websites, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined in the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with how we handle your data as described, please do not use the Websites or provide us with your personal information through the Websites.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Websites and all content, materials, information, and services provided on or through the Websites are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”basis. VortexC LLC makes no warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the Websites or the information contained on the Websites for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that might arise from a course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not guarantee that the Websites will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or viruses. While we employ reasonable security measures (see our Privacy Policy for more on how we protect your data), you understand that any content downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the Websites is at your own discretion and risk. You are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your particular requirements for antivirus protection and data backup, and for maintaining a means to reconstruct any lost data. VortexC LLC assumes no responsibility for any damage to your computer system, loss of data, or other harm that may result from your access to or use of the Websites.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VortexC LLC (and its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Websites or any content on the Websites. This includes, without limitation, any damages for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In addition, VortexC LLC’s total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Websites will not exceed the amount (if any) you paid us to use the Websites or to receive our services in the past six (6) months, or one hundred US dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater. This limitation applies to all causes of action in the aggregate, including contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above disclaimers or limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VortexC LLC, its parent and affiliated companies, and each of their respective owners, directors, officers, employees, and agents (“Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Websites (including any actions taken by a third party using your account or credentials, if applicable); (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party while using our Websites.

This means that if a third party brings a claim against the Company related to your use of the Websites or your breach of these Terms, you will be responsible for any costs or damages we incur as a result of that claim. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you (in which case you agree to cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses). This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Websites.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Websites or these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. This governing law applies no matter what country or state you reside in, to the extent not overridden by other applicable law.

You expressly agree that any legal claim or action relating to these Terms or your use of the Websites must be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida, USA, and you consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction by and venue in such courts. You waive any objections to such jurisdiction or venue (including any objection based on inconvenience). Notwithstanding the foregoing, we retain the right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction to enforce these Terms or prevent an imminent harm.

12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. Changes to the Terms will become effective when posted (or as of the effective date specified, if any). We may also notify registered users (if any) of material changes via email or other means, but it is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Websites after any changes to these Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Websites.

13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Ahimsa Service

Privacy Policy

 Last Updated: June 27, 2025

Introduction and Scope At AhimsaService.com and AhimsaPest.com (collectively, “the Websites”), operated by VortexC LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you visit or interact with our Websites or use our services. It applies to all users accessing eitherahimsaservice.com or ahimsapest.com, and by using either Website you agree to the data practices described in this Policy.

VortexC LLC is a company based in Florida, USA, and the services we offer include eco-friendly pest control, land care, mold mitigation, and emergency response. We treat both of our domains as a unified online presence, so the same privacy practices and protections apply regardless of which site you use. We strive to handle your data ethically, consistent with our guiding principle of ahimsa (non-harm), and in compliance with applicable privacy laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Our goal is to be transparent and clear about our data practices, in plain language, so you know exactly how your information is used.

By using our Websites, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please refrain from using the Websites or providing us with your personal information. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (see the “Changes to This Privacy Policy” section below), and we encourage you to review it periodically.

1. Information We Collect We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, as well as some information automatically when you use our Websites. The types of information we may collect include:

  • Information You Provide Directly: When you use our contact forms, request services, or communicate with us (via email, phone, or the      Websites), you may provide certain personal details. This can include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any information you choose to include in your message or inquiry. For example, if you fill out the “Drop us a line!” form on our site, we will collect your name, email, phone number, and the contents of your message. If you provide details about your service needs (e.g., describing a pest issue or mold problem in your home), that information is collected as well. We will also record any correspondence or communication you send us for customer service purposes.
  • Transactional and Service Information: If you become a customer (for instance, by scheduling a service or obtaining an estimate through the Websites), we might collect additional information necessary to provide services. This could include your service address/location, details about the property (e.g., size of yard for land care or areas affected by mold), scheduling preferences, and any other details relevant to performing the requested services. If payments are handled via the Websites (currently, we do not collect payments through the sites directly, but if that changes), we would collect payment-related information; however, at present, we generally arrange payments offline after services are rendered. All online payments are handled through VortexC  invoices, sent to clients after scheduling and service confirmation.
  • Information Collected Automatically: Like most websites, our Websites automatically collect certain data about your device and browsing actions through cookies and similar technologies. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates/times of your visits. We also gather information on how you interact with the Websites, such as the pages or service descriptions you clicked on, the time spent on each page, and any errors or download issues you encounter. This usage data helps us understand how visitors navigate our site and improve functionality. The cookies on our site assist in this automatic data collection – for example, we use cookies to analyze website traffic and user behavior in aggregate. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer that remember your preferences and activity; they are a common tool used to enhance user experience and gather website analytics. (For more details on cookies, see Section 4 below.)
  • Information from Third Parties: We do not typically purchase or obtain personal data about you from third-party sources. However, if you      engage with our social media pages or review sites and make your interactions public, we might see information about you from those sources (for example, your public profile name and comments). Additionally, our use of Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection means that Google may collect some device and interaction information in order to verify you are a legitimate user (as part of Google’s service). This information is      collected by Google directly and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive personal identifiers like your Google account info from reCAPTCHA - just a confirmation that you passed the security check.

We limit our collection to information that is relevant for the purposes described in this Policy. You have the choice not to provide certain personal information (for instance, you can choose not to fill out optional form fields or not to use the contact form at all), but please note that if you decline to provide necessary information, we may not be able to respond to your request or provide certain services to you.

2. How We Use Your Information We use the collected information for various legitimate business purposes, consistent with the ways you might expect given the context in which you provided the data. The primary uses of your information are:

  • To Provide and Improve Services: We use your personal information to respond to your inquiries and requests. For example, if you contact us for a free estimate or with questions about a pest issue, we will use your provided contact information to reach out to you and supply the requested information. If you schedule a service, we will use your details to confirm appointments, perform the services at the correct location, and communicate with you about the service. Your information enables us to deliver our eco-friendly pest control, land care, mold mitigation, and emergency response services effectively. We may also use feedback you provide or information about your experience to improve our service offerings and operations. Internally, we might analyze service request data to better allocate resources or develop new service features (for instance, if many people inquire about a certain eco-friendly treatment, that could inform our business decisions).
  • Communication: We will send you communications related to your interactions with us. This includes responding to emails or messages you send through the Websites, sending service confirmations or updates, and notifying you of any changes or important information regarding an appointment. For example, we might email or call you to      confirm a scheduled service visit, or to follow up on a consultation request. If you provided your phone number and consented, we may also communicate via telephone or text for urgent matters or clarifications (we will abide by applicable telemarketing laws and will not send you text messages for marketing without consent, if ever). We may also use your  contact information to send informational newsletters, service reminders, or promotional offers, but only if you have agreed to or requested such communications. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time (see Section 6 on Your Rights).
  • Website Functionality and Personalization: The information collected automatically (like cookies and logs) is used to maintain and improve our Websites. We analyze this data to understand how visitors use our site, which pages are popular, and where users might encounter issues. This helps us optimize page content, navigation, and overall user experience. Cookies also help with certain site features; for example, if we had a login or preference selection,      cookies could remember your choices so you don’t have to re-enter information. Although our current Websites are fairly simple, we might use cookies to remember if you’ve seen a notification (like a cookie consent banner) so it doesn’t keep reappearing, or to store your preference if you chose to “Decline” non-essential cookies. Overall, using cookies and analytics allows us to ensure the Websites are user-friendly and functioning correctly, and to customize content where applicable.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: We may use your information as necessary to protect the security of the Websites, our operations, and our users. For instance, the IP address and technical data we collect may be used to detect and prevent malicious activities. If we notice unusual patterns (such as repeated failed form submissions that may indicate bot activity), we may use that information to block certain IP addresses or take other protective measures. Also, data from Google reCAPTCHA is used to filter out spambots and ensure that real humans are using our contact forms. In the unfortunate event of any dispute or legal claim, we might use relevant personal information to investigate and defend against such claims.
  • Legal Obligations and Compliance: We may process and retain your personal information to comply with legal obligations or regulatory requirements. For example, Florida law or U.S. federal law might require us to keep certain business records (which could include client contact information and transaction history) for a period of time for tax, insurance, or regulatory purposes. If you exercise privacy rights (as described in Section 6), we will use your information to fulfill those requests and to log our compliance with those requests. Additionally, if required by law (e.g., a subpoena or court order) to disclose certain personal data, we will use and disclose information as necessary to comply. We will also use personal information to enforce our Terms and Conditions and to protect our rights and the rights of others (for instance, providing information to law enforcement if someone is misusing our Websites for fraud or harassment).
  • Aggregate and De-Identified Uses: We may aggregate or anonymize personal data so that it no longer identifies a specific individual, and use that aggregated data for purposes such as research, analysis, improving our services, and marketing. For example, we might compile statistics like “how many visitors viewed the Ahimsa Pest Service page      this month” or “the percentage of inquiries related to mold mitigation.” These aggregated insights help us understand demand and interest in our services. Importantly, these statistics do not contain personal information that could identify you.

We will not use your personal information for purposes that are incompatible with those described above without first obtaining your consent. If we plan to process your personal data for a new purpose, we will inform you and, if required by law, seek your permission.

3. How We Share or Disclose Information We understand the importance of keeping your personal information confidential. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing or any other purposes. We only share your information in limited situations, as described below, and always with appropriate safeguards:

  • With Service Providers and Partners: We may share personal data with third-party vendors and service providers who perform functions on our behalf and help us run our business. These include, for example:
  • Website hosting and IT infrastructure providers: The companies that host our Websites or provide technical      functionality may have access to data (e.g., data might pass through their servers). They are contractually obligated to keep such data confidential and use it only to provide their services to us.
  • Email and communication services: If we use an email service provider or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to manage contacts and send emails, your contact info may be stored in those systems. We ensure any such providers have robust privacy and security practices.
  • Analytics providers: We may use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics or similar) to collect and analyze usage information. These tools might set their own cookies to track user interactions (e.g., Google Analytics would collect data like your IP address and behavior on our site). Analytics providers typically aggregate information and do not identify individuals to the customer (us), but they technically process data about your browsing. We treat this as information shared with a service provider for our internal use. (You can opt out of analytics by not accepting certain cookies or via browser settings – see Section 4 on Cookies).
  • Business partners or subcontractors: In some cases, to deliver a service you requested, we may partner with subcontractors or specialists. For example, if we refer you to a trusted affiliate for a specialized service (like an aspect of land care or mold remediation that involves a third-party lab test), we would share only the information necessary for them to perform their part of the service (such as your address or contact info for scheduling). Such partners are also expected to handle your data lawfully and keep it confidential, using it only for the intended service.

In all cases, these service providers are given access only to the information necessary to perform their functions, and they are not permitted to use your information for any unrelated purpose. We require that our service providers handle personal information in compliance with this Policy and applicable privacy laws.

  • With Your Consent: We will share your personal information with third parties if you direct us to or expressly consent to such sharing. For instance, if you ask us to refer you to a partner company for an ancillary service and you want us to provide them your info, we will do so at your request. Similarly, if in the future we run a joint promotion with another organization and you opt in to have your info shared, we would share accordingly but we would be clear about such a scenario at the time of collecting your consent.
  • Legal Requirements and Protection: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request (such as a subpoena or court order); (b) enforce our Terms and Conditions or other agreements; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of VortexC LLC (operating as Ahimsa Service/Ahimsa Pest), our customers, our employees, or others. This means if a law enforcement authority or regulator legitimately requires data, we may provide it after verifying the request. We may also use or disclose information in response to an emergency that poses a threat to someone’s life or safety.
  • Business Transfers: If VortexC LLC (or substantially all of its assets) is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other business transition, your personal information may be transferred to the successor or acquiring entity as part of that transaction. For example, if another company acquires our business, customer information (including data collected through the Websites) would likely be one of the assets transferred. In such an event, we would ensure that the new owner is bound to the same commitments to your privacy as outlined in this Policy, or we      would provide notice and possibly request your consent as required by law. You would also be given notice via the Websites (and/or email if we have your contact info) of any change in ownership or use of your personal      information, as well as any choices you may have regarding that information.
  • Embedded Content and Third-Party Features: Some features on our Websites may involve content or scripts from third parties (for instance, the Google reCAPTCHA integration, or an embedded map for our office location). These third parties may receive certain information as a result (e.g., your IP address and some information about your browser when loading a Google Map). Such sharing is inherent in using those features. We limit these as much as possible to necessary functionalities. Wherever feasible, we use privacy-enhanced modes (for example, if we had YouTube videos embedded, we might use YouTube’s privacy mode to limit tracking). Nonetheless, data that you     actively submit to a third-party (like clicking a WhatsApp link and then entering info in WhatsApp) is under that third-party’s control.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to outside parties for their marketing purposes. We also do not share personal data with third parties for any purposes other than those outlined above. Particularly, we do not share personal information with third-party advertisers (we do not host third-party ads on our site), and we do not monetize your data. Any analytics or cookie-based sharing is only for our internal analysis or site functionality, and it’s largely in aggregate form. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate notice/opt-out mechanisms as required by law.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies As noted earlier, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our Websites to improve user experience and gather analytics data. This section explains our cookie usage and your choices regarding cookies:

  • What Are Cookies: Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device’s hard drive or memory through your web browser. They serve a variety of functions, like enabling certain features, remembering preferences, or collecting usage information. For example, a cookie might store your session identifier to keep you logged in (for sites with accounts), or recall your language preference. Cookies can also be used to track browsing behavior across sites (as with advertising cookies), though we do not use cookies for advertising on our Websites.
  • Types of Cookies We Use: Our Websites primarily use cookies for functionality and analytics. When you first visit, you will      have seen a cookie consent banner indicating that we use cookies to analyze traffic and asking for your consent. We categorize our cookies as follows:
  • Essential/Functional Cookies: These cookies are necessary for the basic operation of the Websites and to provide the services you expect. For instance, if our site has a cookie to remember that you clicked “Accept” on the cookie banner, that is a functional cookie to ensure the banner doesn’t keep showing. If in the future we add login      functionality or user-specific settings, cookies might remember your login state or preferences. These cookies do not capture personal details beyond what’s needed for the functionality, and they are generally first-party cookies (set by our domain).
  • Analytics/Performance Cookies: We use these cookies to collect information about how visitors use our Websites – which pages are visited, how long is spent on each page, what links are clicked, etc. This data helps us understand user behavior and improve our content and layout. We currently use Google Analytics (or a similar tool) which sets cookies like _ga etc., to differentiate users (Google Analytics uses randomized identifiers). The information gathered is typically aggregated and not used to identify you personally. It tells us, for example, “200 people visited the Mold Mitigation page this month” or that a certain page had a high bounce rate. These insights guide our improvements. Google Analytics may also collect your IP address; however, we have configured it to anonymize IPs if possible (masking the last digits) to enhance privacy. We do not use advertising features of Google Analytics, so your browsing on our site is not used for ad targeting.
  • Security Cookies: Services like Google reCAPTCHA may set a cookie or use other tracking (like monitoring mouse movements) to distinguish bots from humans. These are strictly to protect our forms from spam and abuse. They might track how you navigate or interact on the page as part of the challenge, but the data is used by Google to determine if you’re legitimate and is not used by us for any other purpose. Such cookies are considered necessary for security.

We do not use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels on our Websites at this time. You will not receive third-party advertising cookies (like those from Facebook or Google Ads) from simply browsing our site. All cookies used are either first-party (our own) or related to a service we use for the above purposes (like Google’s).

  • Cookie Consent & Your Choices: Upon your first visit to the site (or if you revisit after clearing cookies), our cookie banner allows you to Accept or Decline cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones. If you click “Decline,” we will not set analytics cookies or any non-essential cookies during your visit. You can still use the Websites, though some minor features that rely on cookies might not function optimally. For example, if you decline cookies, our analytics will not track your visit, which has no direct impact on your experience; and if there were a preference cookie, the site might not remember preferences between visits.

Additionally, most web browsers allow you to control and delete cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. You can also delete cookies that have already been set. Please note that disabling cookies entirely may affect the usability of many websites (for instance, if you disable all cookies, you might not be able to stay logged in to sites that require authentication, etc.). For our Websites, disabling cookies should not prevent basic navigation, but it may limit our ability to gather anonymous analytics and thus hamper our improvements.

Do Not Track: “Do Not Track” (DNT) is a setting in some browsers that sends a signal to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. Our Websites currently do not respond differently to DNT signals, in part because there is not a consensus on how to interpret them. However, we only track users via the limited cookies mentioned, and you have the ability to opt out of those cookies as described. We will continue to monitor the industry standards for DNT and may update our practices if a clear standard emerges.

For more detailed information about cookies and how you can manage or disable them, you can visit educational resources like AllAboutCookies.org, which provides guidance on how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage them on various browsers.

5. Data Storage and Security We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the personal information we hold from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We are committed to maintaining data security, although no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Below are some of the measures we employ and information on our data retention practices:

  • Security Measures: We utilize a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to secure your data. This includes:
  • Encryption: Whenever our Websites collect sensitive information (for example, if we had an online payment form, it would be protected by encryption), we ensure the transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. Our site is accessible only over HTTPS, indicated by the padlock in your browser address bar, which means data between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit.
  • Access Controls: Internally, access to personal data is restricted to those who need it to perform their job (for example, our service team or management who contact customers and schedule services). We use password protection and, where possible, two-factor authentication for administrative access to our systems. Our databases and contact lists are secured so that unauthorized parties cannot access them.
  • Secure Hosting: We host our Websites with reputable providers that employ their own strong security measures      (firewalls, intrusion detection, regular security patching, etc.). We keep our website software, content management system, and plugins up-to-date to guard against vulnerabilities.
  • Monitoring: We monitor our Websites for potential security breaches and attacks. In case of unusual activity (e.g., repeated failed form submissions or login attempts), we investigate and respond accordingly (which could include blocking offending IPs or taking the site offline temporarily to protect data).
  • Training and Policies: We educate our team about the importance of data privacy and security. We have internal policies in place to prevent unauthorized sharing of personal data and to respond to any incidents swiftly.

Despite our efforts, no website or internet transmission is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You should also take care with how you handle and disclose your personal information. Remember that communication via email or contact forms is not encrypted end-to-end, so avoid sending sensitive information (like financial account details or social security numbers) through these channels.

  • Data Retention: We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. For example:
  • If you are a prospective customer who contacted us but did not ultimately use our services, we may retain your inquiry information for a short period in case you reach out again or so we can follow up. Typically, inquiry emails or form submissions are stored in our email archives indefinitely unless you request deletion, but we periodically review and delete inquiries that are no longer needed.
  • For customers who have received services from us, we will retain your contact details and service records for at least the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter. This helps us provide follow-up service, honor warranties or guarantees (like our 111% guarantee), and have records in case of any legal or tax obligations. Service invoices or records may be kept for a number of years as required by tax law (often 7 years in the U.S.) or business best practices.
  • If you have subscribed to any newsletters or marketing communications, we will retain your email on our mailing list until you unsubscribe or until we decide to discontinue the mailing list service.

When we no longer have a legitimate need or legal obligation to retain your personal information, we will securely dispose of it. This might involve deleting electronic records, anonymizing data so it’s no longer tied to you, and shredding any physical documents. If deletion is not immediately feasible (for example, if data is stored in long-term backups), we will ensure it remains securely stored until deletion is possible.

  • International Data Transfers: Our Websites and databases are operated from the United States. If you are accessing from outside the USA (for instance, from the European Economic Area or elsewhere), please be aware that any information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States. The data protection laws of the United States may differ from those in your country of residence. However, we will take steps to ensure that your privacy is protected in line with this Policy. By using our Websites or providing us with your information, you      consent to this transfer and processing in the USA. If we ever need to transfer personal data from the EEA or UK to the US in a way that requires additional legal safeguards (under GDPR standards), we will do so using lawful mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses) and ensure an adequate level of protection.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law. We maintain a breach response plan and will act promptly to contain, mitigate, and investigate any security incidents.

6. Your Rights and Choices We respect your rights to know about and control your personal information. Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, whether you are an EU/EEA resident, a California resident, or otherwise), you may have certain legal rights regarding the personal data we hold about you. We extend many of these core rights to all our users, regardless of location, because we believe in transparency and fairness.

  • General Rights (for all users):
  • Right to Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will provide you with a summary of the data we have, and explain how it is being used. This is sometimes known as a Subject Access Request.
  • Right to Rectification: If any of your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to correct it. For example, if we have the wrong spelling of your name or an outdated phone number, please let us know and we will update it.
  • Right to Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete your personal data, under certain conditions. For instance, if you no longer want us to have your information, and we have no legal obligation to keep it, you may ask that it be erased. Do note that this right is not absolute – if we are required by law to keep data (e.g., for financial record-keeping) or if the data is needed to fulfill our contract with you, we may not be able to delete it immediately. However, we will honor deletion requests to the fullest extent possible and will inform you of any data we must retain.
  • Right to Object/Restrict Processing: You have the right to object to or request that we limit the processing of your personal information under certain circumstances. For example, if you dispute the accuracy of your data or have some other issue, you can ask us to pause processing while we address your concern. If we ever conducted marketing or profiling with your data (which we currently do not, aside from basic analytics), you could object to that processing.
  • Right to Data Portability: To the extent applicable, you have the right to request that we transfer the data you provided to us to another organization, or directly to you, in a commonly used format. This typically applies to data processed by automated means under consent or contract. In our context, this might not be heavily applicable (since we don’t have user accounts where you upload data, etc.), but if you needed, for example, all your communications with us, we could provide those in a readable format.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: If you have given us consent to use your personal information (for example, for receiving a newsletter or for a certain kind of data processing), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, and it will not affect processing that is allowed on other legal bases (like fulfilling a contract or legal obligations). If you withdraw consent for a specific optional feature (like marketing emails), we will stop that use. If you withdraw consent for something essential (like processing your data to perform a service you requested), we will inform you if that means we can no longer provide the service.
  • California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA): If you are a resident of California, you are entitled to specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These rights (some of which overlap with those above) include:
  • Right to Know: You can request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, as well as details about our information practices (such as the categories of sources of that information, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it). Essentially, this is the right to access information, tailored to California’s requirements.
  • Right to Delete: You can ask that we delete the personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain      exceptions). If it’s information we truly need (for example, to complete a transaction or comply with a legal obligation) we may decline to delete that portion, but we will explain any denial. Otherwise, we will delete your info from our records and direct any service providers to do the same, as required by CCPA.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: Note: We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the context of CCPA, “sell” broadly includes any exchange of data for valuable consideration, and “sharing” includes providing data to third parties for targeted advertising. We do not engage in those practices. However, the law gives you the right to direct businesses that do sell or share personal info to stop doing so. Since we don’t sell or share in that manner, this right may not need to be exercised with us – by default we honor it. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. We will make corrections upon verification.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive      Personal Information: The CPRA introduced a right to limit the use and disclosure of “sensitive personal information” (SPI) if a business uses it for purposes not expected by an average consumer. SPI includes data like social security numbers, financial account info, precise geolocation, race/ethnicity, health data, etc. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information in ways that would trigger this right – we don’t profile you or use any sensitive data (we generally don’t collect SPI at all). But if we ever did, you would have the right to direct us to use such information only for necessary services or as otherwise permitted by law.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we won’t deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality just because you made a privacy request. California consumers can exercise their privacy rights with confidence that they will receive equal service and pricing from us.

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code §1798.83) also entitles California residents to request certain information about any third-party disclosure of personal information for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal data to third parties for direct marketing without consent, so in practice there is no such activity to report. Nonetheless, you may request more information on this if needed.

  • European/International Data Subject Rights (GDPR): If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Switzerland or a jurisdiction with similar laws, you have rights under the GDPR (or equivalent legislation) which closely mirror the general rights we listed above. These include the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. One additional right under GDPR is the Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Data Protection Authority. If you believe we have infringed your data protection rights, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your EU member state (for example, in the country where you live or work, or where the issue occurred). We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any issue.

We are committed to honoring your rights. To exercise any of your privacy rights, please contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Us” section of this Privacy Policy (Section 8). Typically, we will need you to provide sufficient information to verify your identity (so we don’t give someone else your data or delete the wrong person’s info). For example, we may ask you to confirm certain details we already have on file, or provide identification in some cases. You can also designate an authorized agent (for California residents) to make requests on your behalf, but we will require proof that the agent is acting with your permission (such as a written authorization).

Once we receive your request, we will confirm receipt within a reasonable time (generally within 10 days for CCPA requests) and work to fulfill it. We aim to respond to privacy requests within one month from receipt, but if we need more time (up to an additional two months, for complex cases under GDPR), we will inform you of the reason for the delay. Requests for access are generally free, but we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse repetitive/excessive requests as permitted by law.

7. Children’s Privacy Our Websites and services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use our Websites or submit any information about yourself. We encourage parents and guardians to be aware of and monitor their children’s online activities.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records. For example, if a child were to send us a message with their name and contact info, we would remove it as soon as we realize the person’s age. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us using the information below so that we can investigate and address the issue promptly.

For teens between 13 and 18, our Websites can be used with parental consent/supervision, but our services (pest control, etc.) would typically involve entering into a contract, which requires an adult. We do not knowingly do business with minors. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction (but at least 13), you should obtain permission from your parent or guardian before providing personal information or using our services.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the Policy. If the changes are significant, we may also provide a more prominent notice or notify you via email or other direct communication (if we have such contact information and such notice is required by law). We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.

Any changes will become effective when posted, unless indicated otherwise. If we make material changes to how we handle personal data, we will endeavor to let you know. For example, if we were to start collecting new types of data or using data for new purposes not previously disclosed, we would update the Policy accordingly and notify users as required. Your continued use of the Websites after any changes to this Privacy Policy signifies your acceptance of the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.

In the event we ever decide to use personal information in a manner significantly different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify affected individuals by email (if we have your email) or by placing a prominent notice on our Websites, and will provide the opportunity to opt-out of the new use where required by law.
